Located a convenient five minutes’ walk away from Holetown with its many shops, bars and restaurants, the 3-star Discovery Bay by Rex Resorts is a fine choice for an affordable yet stylish holiday to Barbados. Found on the island’s stunning west coast, this charming hotel has been designed around picturesque plantation houses and is surrounded by tropical landscaped gardens. Perched just opposite the sweeping white sands of St James Beach, Discovery Bay offers a tranquil location with all kinds of birds, butterflies and even a resident mongoose to be found amidst it’s pretty gardens. The pool deck is the place to relax on, whilst dining is enjoyed at both the Garden Restaurant and the Sugar Bird Bar & Grill beside the pool with a range of typical Bajan dishes to sample as well as a varied international cuisine.
