The Platinum Coast of western Barbados may be renowned for its upmarket hotels and exclusive condominiums, but there are also some great options for those travelling on a slightly tighter budget too. The Palms Resort is a fantastic and very affordable establishment consisting of two hotels – The Travellers Palm Hotel and The Halcyon Palm Hotel. Located in St James near to Holetown, the hotels are just five minutes from each other, and guests of The Palms Resort may use the facilities of both hotels. Although not positioned directly on the beach, it is within easy access from The Palms Resort and offers a varied programme of water sports as well as some pretty stunning sunbathing on its white sugary sands whilst there are also swimming pools at both hotels.

There are 25 one bedroom apartments at The Halcyon Palm and 16 one bedroom apartments at The Travellers Palm. Standard amenities include flat screen TV with cable, microwave, coffee make, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Bedrooms are air conditioned whilst the living rooms have ceiling fans.

We did not realise that we would have to pay for our seats seperately from the original fare that we paid for to go on our holiday . We were disappointed that this was not pointed out to us at the time of booking the flights through SN Travel . Thats the only negative. I would use SN Travel again but I would look out for the hidden extra's in the price I pay to travel.
